Pilgrim's Pride Partners With Feed The Children To Help Families This Winter

Feeding families in Illinois, Missouri, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Virginia, California and Kentucky

Oklahoma City, OK, January 18, 2008 – Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation, the largest chicken producer in the United States, has partnered with international relief organization Feed The Children to provide over 500,000 pounds of product to feed children and families. This donation equates to approximately 2.3 million servings, feeding families in Illinois, Missouri, Alabama, Arkansas, Tennessee, Virginia, California and Kentucky. The product delivered were Pilgrim’s Pride Chicken Nuggets, which are all-white meat. “Pilgrim’s Pride Corporation has been a wonderful supporter of Feed The Children,” said Larry Jones, president and co-founder of Feed The Children. “We thank Pilgrim’s Pride for their commitment to helping those children and families in need this winter.”
